Mars Meeting: A Lollapalooza Short Story

And here comes the (to date) last story in the Lollapalooza series.

Mars MeetingCaptain Kovak has a new crew, an empty cargo hold, and a second-in-command who is keeping secrets from her.

Secrets that put all of them at risk.

Some questioning is in order, in a setting that is not romantic, during what is not a date.

Coiled Danger: A Lollapalooza Short Story

I wrote this story some time ago, not long after the first two stories in the Lollapalooza series. I’m not sure why, but I never got around to publishing this one – and the fourth one coming next week.

But they’re out now, ready for consumption!

Coiled Danger

Coiled Danger

Intergalactic travel can be fatal if attempted with a faulty communications system. This is why all systems are doubled.

Anouk, the Lollapalooza’s new mechanic, is faced with glitches in the Secondary, while the Prime is already out of commission.

The origin of the craft-wide problem must be found before all the systems fail.

Quarantine: A Lollapalooza Short Story

Another Science Fiction story! Like The Vanguard, it’s a little weird, but not as weird…

For inspiration for this story, I sat down with my Thesaurus and picked out two random words. I got lollapalooza (which was really fun but impossible to place) and quarantine (which apparently got my writing juices running).

Let me know what you think!

QuarantineQuarantine

The majority of her crew having perished in a flu outbreak, Captain Kovak is in desperate need of a friendly port.

She finds a planet on the map with the tags fuel and crew for hire, figuring she’s home safe.

Until she ends up quarantined.
